Hyper Layer Game Panel | Setting up SFTP

You will have complete control over your server's files with full access. This enables you to freely upload and download files to and from your server. Utilizing an FTP client is a simple yet powerful method for managing your server.

If you are a Windows user, we suggest using either Filezilla or Winscp. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the setup process for both options.

Setting up FileZilla

  1. You can download FileZilla from the FileZilla Website
  2. Obtain your game servers IP address this can be found in your game control panel

  1. Once installed, open FileZilla click on the button at the top left as per the screenshot below

  1. Click on the new site & give it a name

  1. Now it's time to fill in the fields on the right to connect to your server.
tip

Your user & password for SFTP is the same credentials as your game control panel login

  1. Once you click connect you will be prompted to always trust this host. Tick the checkbox and click ok. This enables encryption between you and the game server.

  1. You should now see a folder named with your server IP & port your game servers contents will be located in there. If you have more than 1 server multiple folders will show in the root directory.

Setting up WinSCP

  1. You can download Winscp from the WinSCP Website
  2. Obtain your game servers IP address this can be found in your game control panel

  1. Once you open WinSCP you will be presented right away with a login screen.
  2. Fill in your data as per the screenshot below
tip

Your user name & password for SFTP is the same credentials as your game control panel login

  1. You can now click the login button for your server
  2. Select yes for the below warning

  1. You should now see a folder with your server IP and the port within this folder is all your game server content. If you have more servers more folders & IP addresses will show here
