Ark Survival Evolved | Adding custom settings to gameusersettings.ini and game.ini

This guide will help you add custom settings to your server. By following the steps below, you can easily incorporate your own custom settings.

Please note

Direct copying and pasting of new settings to the gameusersettings.ini or game.ini files is not supported, as they will be overwritten with the default settings upon server boot.

  1. Stop your server.
  2. Access the configuration files.

  1. Open either gameusersettings.ini or game.ini.
  2. Locate the "Configuration Editor" option within the file.

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the chosen .ini file.
  2. Look for a section labeled "Custom Codes" or "Custom Mod Tweaks".

  1. Paste all your custom settings into the provided text box.

  1. For game.ini, ensure that you DO NOT ADD the line [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] at the very top. This is already included for you
  1. Save and exit.
  2. Start your server
