The dedicated server hardware we provide includes Dell (IDRAC) and Super Micro (IPMI) systems. Although the terminology for these remote interfaces differs, they essentially serve the same purpose.

  1. Check Your Welcome Email: First, refer to the welcome email you received to find the login details for both your IPSEC and IPMI/IDRAC access.

  2. Configure VPN on Windows PC:

    • Open Network Settings on your Windows PC.
    • Select the VPN option and choose to add a new VPN connection.

  3. Choose VPN Provider and Name:

    • Select 'Windows' as your VPN provider.
    • Give your VPN connection a name of your choice.
  4. Specify VPN Type and Credentials:

    • Choose the VPN type as 'L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key'.
    • Enter the IP address mentioned in the IPsec details from your customer section.
    • Provide the pre-shared key, username, and password.

  5. Establish VPN Connection:

    • Save the settings and initiate the connection to the IPsec VPN.

  6. Access IPMI/IDRAC:

    • Copy the IP address from your IPMI/IDRAC details.
    • Paste the IP address into your web browser's address bar.
  7. Log in to IPMI/IDRAC:

    • Use the provided username and password for IPMI/IDRAC access.
  8. Note about IPMI/IDRAC Access:

    • Remember that IPMI/IDRAC access requires an active connection to the IPsec VPN. Ensure you are connected before attempting to access IPMI/IDRAC.

By following these steps, you will successfully set up and access both the IPsec VPN and IPMI/IDRAC functionalities.
