Space Engineers | What is Experimental Mode in Space Engineers?

Within Space Engineers, Experimental Mode introduces a range of untested, unofficial, and partially developed features discreetly nestled behind the Experimental Mode toggle in the Game Options menu. These features were integrated into the game during its early-access development but are no longer considered official components of the game. Nevertheless, they remain preserved to accommodate players accustomed to their presence. Everything remains unchanged within the experimental mode.

New players find themselves in a secure environment, with access to only selected features and limitations. For existing players, Experimental Mode is enabled by default. To join an experimental server or partake in a custom game, it is imperative to have Experimental Mode activated within your game settings.

If you wish to modify numerous options from their default settings or incorporate mods into your gameplay, you must operate within Experimental Mode. This is perfectly acceptable, although new players need to enable Experimental Mode in their game options.

Unfortunately, Hyper Layer cannot influence the enabling of Experimental Mode. Therefore, the most practical course of action is to instruct your players to enable Experimental Mode within their own game configurations.
